RESEARCH
First we listen. We listen to our client concerns, their market, ideas, and competition. Then we ask questions, we digest the project, we get a clear game-plan set in place, and we make sure every step of the project will be clearly defined to ensure success.

CONCEPT
Here’s where we get creative. We brainstorm, analyze, research, and sketch. Every team member brings as many ideas and solutions to the table as possible and we work to combine all our client’s wishes with every added value and feature we can conceive – then we whittle down, risk manage, and eliminate the unnecessary to present our clients with a foundation of concepts to work from.

CONCEPT REFINEMENT
Working with our clients we decide on the most effective route towards success. In this step we refine and re-imagine the concepts in collaboration with our client’s feedback, engineering, and further designer input. The final result of this stage is a complete 3D rendering of the concept, fully illustrating the design intent and direction of the project.

DESIGN DEVELOPMENT
The “nitty-gritty”; here’s where we get dirty and in-depth. This stage of the process is where we really get our hands into the project. We hash out every piece of the product, every nut, bolt, bend and curve. We analyze every centimeter of a product to define and develop a fully functional design that is ready for prototyping and initial manufacturing testing. Engineering, manufacturing, design, client budget, and end-user satisfaction all come into play in this crucial and exciting step towards a successful product.
>>
PROTOTYPING
Sometimes called the fun part, prototyping involves a real working sample of a product. After manufacturing an initial prototype we get the chance to really test our skills and express any aggressions we might have with our design programs – all intended to take the product to the limit and make a superior final solution. Ok, we don’t always beat our products, but we do run rigorous tests.
>>
MANUFACTURING
Both documentation and coordination are involved in this step. All of the parts and assembly files created thus far are converted to manufacturing drawings, then, if necessary, our team will source materials, communicate with manufacturers (domestic or foreign), and help support the launch of a product. We have experience in everything from injection molding to flat pattern design, thermoplastic elastomers to carbon fibers, packaging to luxury product design – basically, if we don’t know it then we want to, and we’ll do whatever it takes.
